The service is retained, the name and location have changed: The Wicked company Reproaktiv has taken over part of the D&S Drucktechnik company. The company headquarters in the Höinger industrial park was handed over to Wallothnesch.
Höingen – Heico Scheiwe actually wanted to take over his parents Anna and Josef’s company at the beginning of the year, he had already worked there before. “But we lost major customers,” reports Heico Scheiwe. A continuation of the business was no longer possible under these circumstances. “Maybe still as a one-man operation,” says Scheiwe. But the Scheiwes decided against this possibility. “There was a great offer,” explains Heico Scheiwe.
The service from D&S Drucktechnik has been under the umbrella of the Wicked company Reproaktiv since January 1st. “That has many advantages,” says Heico Scheiwe, who now works as an employee for Reproaktiv and is primarily responsible for the printing area. Two of the 15 D&S employees have found a new job at Reproaktiv.
“We immediately said that it couldn’t go any further,” reports Scheiwe of the conversations with the former employees. Anna and Josef Scheiwe retired at the age of 67. The machine park from Ense was gradually rebuilt in Wickede.
Range in Wickede expanded
It was only in April 2018 that D&S Drucktechnik relocated its headquarters to the industrial park and expanded from 400 to 1140 square meters. The commercial hall was bought by the Wallothnesch company from Neheim-Bergheim. Anna and Josef Scheiwe specialized in industrial screen and pad printing in their home cellar in 1998 – D&S Drucktechnik had been around for 23 years.
Reproaktiv offers vehicle advertising, facade lettering, neon advertising, truck tarpaulins, wayfinding systems, banners and digital prints. The offer was expanded through the takeover of D&S Drucktechnik. In the meantime, screen and pad printing as well as the textile area for everything to do with embroidery, flex film and flock film are part of the service.
