Even though it is one of the most popular apps all over the world, WhatsApp is not exempt from one or another problem that can affect users, being one of those the failures that the application can present to download images on your device. This small inconvenience can affect both smartphones and WhatsApp Web, so we tell you what the most common causes and solutions are.
Lack of space?
Sometimes you can’t download files on WhatsApp, and the first thing you should check is if you still have space left in the cell phone’s memory. Either on your internal storage or on your micro SD card, you should verify that you still have free space by going to Settings or Settings > Storage. In this tab you can check if you can still copy more files to your smartphone, but in case you do not, you will have to delete some apps and files that you no longer use to free up space.
If this is not the problem then maybe you should do a clean download of WhatsApp. To do this you will have to delete the app and reinstall it from your app store, but if you don’t want to lose your data remember to make a backup. If this does not solve the problem, it is possible that your storage card is damaged, so you must format it, deleting all the data it contains. You can also consider replacing it, but only once you’ve done the steps above.
