Why was KTB allowed to buy “Credit Agricole” and then cause a scandal? –

/ world today news/ The struggle for leadership in BSP will be a competition between like-minded people. I hope there are no casualties

I don’t see it as a fight. This is a competition between like-minded people. I hope there are no casualties. This was said on the occasion of the future election of the leader of the BSP, the deputy chairman of the party Dragomir Stoynev. As is known, he is one of the names that will compete for the post of Sergey Stanishev.

Regarding the sexist statement of his fellow party member about women – that he prefers them to other leaders, but not to leaders, he commented: “What Kirill Dobrev said is quite disturbing. We live in the 21st century and I completely dissociate myself from it. even though he is my friend”.

According to him, Sergey Stanishev is a successful politician because he is the only one who has reached such a high position – chairman of PES. “It is unlikely that we will have such a politician soon,” Stoinev was emphatic.

The minister stated that he has no doubts whether to run for BSP leader. When asked whether joint actions will be taken with the ABV, he first said that everyone in the ABV is a former member of the BSP. However, he then clarified that all decisions in the BSP are made by a collective body and must be so.

Stoynev also commented on the case with KTB. According to him, it is worrisome that Ivo Prokopiev and Boyko Borisov say that the IMF should enter our country. However, he clarified that the state must intervene in the case with KTB in order to guarantee people’s money. “There can be no banking crisis in Bulgaria,” said Stoynev.

The minister said that there will be no bankruptcies of companies whose money was in KTB. There were problems with the payment of salaries to these companies, but they were overcome in about 3 days.

“Money of the Ministry of Economy (deposits) was not withdrawn from KTB in the days before it was placed under special supervision by KTB,” Stoynev was categorical. He explained that there had been similar withdrawals after the decree was passed by the caretaker government, according to which no more than 25% of the money of state-owned companies could be in one bank, but that was as early as last year autumn.

When asked if it is illegal to return money over 100,000 euros, he explained that there must be consensus among politicians and experts.

However, Stoinev commented that it should be clarified why KTB was allowed to acquire “Credit Agricole” and two weeks later such a scandal erupted.
