A possible settlement of accounts would be the motive for the murder of Nerio Urdaneta, in the rural area of Valledupar. This crime happened on a farm in the district of Azúcar Buena, jurisdiction of Valledupar, where the lifeless body was found, with a shot in the head, and next to the body a paper that said: ‘for a toad and a traitor’.
The peasants notified the authorities about the events and police units proceeded to carry out a technical inspection of the body.
The residents of the sector indicated that they did not know the deceased, so it is presumed that ‘Veneco’, as the deceased was known, was taken to said place and then murdered.
Police units entered the property where the body was and proceeded to remove it.
Finally, the authorities indicated that the facts are the subject of investigation.
