Why was Anna (18) called in for first-time service? She does not meet any of the criteria that the Armed Forces themselves draw out when selecting young people.

Anna was informed by the Armed Forces that she had been selected for first-time service due to good grades. But the Armed Forces are not allowed to use these in this way.

She is an ordinary Norwegian youth. Like everyone else at her age, she has to go through an admission assessment in the Armed Forces, what is called a session.

Anna (18) goes to high school in Oslo. She went through a session last fall. That is, part one, with completion of a self-declaration, and part two, where you are usually called in for a medical check-up and physical and theoretical tests.
