Russian women are massively switching to ecological fur coats from the Ural company
The production of woolen fur faux fur coats of the Sverdlovsk Vira Plotnikova brand has increased sixfold since 2018. Company representatives attribute the growing interest in the trend of conscious consumption among Russian women and the fact that many have started to favor models not standard. Yulia Nazipova, a representative of Vira Plotnikova, told URA.RU about this.
“Demand for our furs and production volume have increased sixfold since 2018. There was a small decline during the coronavirus pandemic, but the overall growth is linear,” Nazipova said.
The company sees two reasons why interest in sustainable fur is growing. First, the trend towards conscious consumption among Russians. Secondly, product innovation, unusual design. In terms of technical characteristics, faux fur coats are not inferior to natural fur coats.
Earlier URA.RU reported that in May Vira Plotnikova faced with a huge deficit employees. Due to staff shortages, the company was unable to accept incoming orders despite growing demand.
