Why Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 Now is Crucial: Avoid Risks and E-Waste

And I joined the discussion that started:

This makes me uncomfortable. What strange things will Microsoft do if Windows 10 is no longer supported?

A good general idea, discouraging and lecturing.

Hmmm, I didn’t mean it like that at all. I’m just pointing out how everyone feels differently about it. I am responding to a comment that literally says “I have no idea, but I wouldn’t worry about it until the time comes.” ” I offer another perspective, hence this idea. Nothing is meant to be a lesson at all, everyone has their own approach.

Nice and obvious killer.

Yeah, what’s my whole comment about? Then I point out that waiting is not good, so take action in advance.

My argument was, yes, it is possible for Windows 11 to change its system requirements, but you don’t want to take that risk. (It literally says: but that’s guess work and a big risk, especially within a company. So I already confirmed your opinion beforehand?

If you start waiting for a possible change in the system requirements, your business operations will certainly not be in order at all.
Also, it looks like you are running on old systems.

I don’t really get the point. We seem to have the same idea and people are talking to me.

My point may not have been clear, but I specifically meant this:

My argument was essentially this: prevention is better than cure. So avoid possible actions from MS if WIN10 is EOL, so be prepared in advance by upgrading to WIN 11 where possible, unless you replace equipment.

So I personally think it is not wise to wait. I’m not forcing anyone, I’m just expressing my vision/opinion. As a user you can of course wait to see if MS does something about the WIN11 system requirements (with E-Waste discussions) and/or maybe support older systems. Then I show the company’s opinion that waiting for this here is uncertain.
