Why Trump dropped his lawsuit against the New York Attorney General

In the aftermath of a Florida judge’s decision ordering him to pay nearly $1 million for a “totally frivolous” lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and James Comey, among others, Donald Trump withdrew her lawsuit against the New York State Attorney General. Why ?

First, remember that the former president filed a $250 million lawsuit last November against Letitia James, accusing her of leading “a relentless, pernicious, public and merciless crusade” against him and the Trump Organization. This amount matched the amount of money the New York Attorney General is seeking from Trump and his family in a civil lawsuit relating to their “numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation.”

However, Trump’s lawsuit against James was before the same Florida federal judge, Donald Middlebrooks, who punished the former president for his “bad faith” lawsuit against Clinton and company. In his ruling, he hinted that the lawsuit against James appeared to be of the same nature.

This time, everything indicates that Trump got the message.
