On this we agree: Will Smith went overboard when he punched Chris Rock in the face for a joke. No joke justifies the use of violence and certainly an actor should know that in his profession the battle is waged verbally. That he attacked a comedian who was simply doing his job is an aggravating circumstance. Punching someone at a bar for insulting your wife is one thing. Attacking a comedian is an attack on free speech.
