The popular Volkswagen Golf station wagon has disappeared from the Czech price list and configurator. What is the main reason and when will it be available again? We asked the official Czech representative of the brand and we know the answer.
Are you thinking of buying a new family station wagon and the most modern Volkswagen Golf Variant is one of the main candidates? Unfortunately, we have to disappoint you, because you cannot currently order it in the Czech Republic. Today, the latest eighth generation of the popular model is only available with the basic five-door hatchback body. The only reason for the unavailability of the Golf Variant in the Czech Republic is the huge interest of customers.
Czechs literally bought the popular Golf in a station wagon. We noticed the unavailability of the model when looking at the Czech price list and configurator, and the domestic representative of the brand answered our question about the further availability of the car, saying that the importer has exhausted all free quotas for entering new cars into production.
Nowadays, you can only buy the new Volkswagen Golf Variant through the dealer network, in which you can currently find almost seven dozen new stock cars with different engines and equipment. In addition, sellers also offer interesting discounts on most of them, which make popular golfs more affordable. The cheapest one with a gasoline four-cylinder 1.5 TSI (96 kW), six-speed manual and Life equipment can be yours for CZK 585,200.
The new Volkswagen Golf Variant will be commercially available in the Czech Republic only after the facelift, which the automaker should present as early as next year. It is expected that the combustion units will receive extensive electrification, and the new Golf will only be available with a DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. The modernized version is expected to be presented in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the model – the first Volkswagen Golf arrived in the world in 2024.
