Why the US Central Bank is acting much harder against inflation than the European one

In the fight against unbridled inflation, the American Central Bank – the Fed – raised interest rates by no less than 0.75 percent on Wednesday. That is three times as much as what European colleagues decided last week. Why is the Fed acting more decisively than the ECB? And should Europe soon follow the US?
