Why the Tuches should absolutely live in New York

The Tuches, whose fourth installment of their adventures is released on December 8 at the cinema, should leave their village of Bouzolles and settle in Manhattan in the Upper East Side neighborhood, not far from the Serendipity restaurant.

This establishment sells the finest fries in the world et also therefore the most expensive on the planet! 230 euros per portion, or 100 times the price of the small fries at Mc Donald’s. Obviously, this crazy price for fries can be explained. They are already made from Chipperbec potatoes considered to be the best in the world for French fries, in particular thanks to their thin skin which absorbs less oil during cooking.

Once cut, they are blanched first in Dom Pérignon champagne, then again in champagne vinegar. They are then cooked three times in pure goose fat that the restaurant brings from the South-West where the critters are raised in the open air.

Once ready, they are served with a special sauce which contains among others truffle butter, Swiss Gruyère with truffle matured for 3 months. The fries are then served on a Baccarat plate and topped with black summer truffles, in case you run out, some pecorino cheese imported from Tuscany and finally edible gold dust.

You understand better why they cost, I repeat, 230 euros per portion and suddenly officially entered the Guinness Book of Records.
