This week, author and social debater Sanna Sarromaa thanked her as a teacher in a column in VG. At regular intervals, we read about teachers changing pastures. There are few other professions that make headlines when someone quits their job.

One of the reasons given is that the students and parents have taken over the power in the classroom. The so-called Chapter 9a of the Education Act is to blame, because it turns pupils into “sacred cows” who cannot be criticized. It is interesting, because in public the teachers do almost nothing else.
