In the press release on the loan of Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, SK Sturm Graz already emphasized that he was moving from London to Graz “for the time being until the summer”.
Andreas Schicker’s plan is to let the 21-year-old wear the “Blackies” shirt for the rest of the season. That should happen with a new loan.

One background is that FIFA has abolished loans that last longer than a year since the summer of 2022.
According to Schicker, the fact that a goalkeeper was loaned out with Okonkwo and not permanently committed is also due to business considerations.
