Génesis Aquino, director of NYS Tenants and neighbors, assures that there is an emergency since “thousands of people are going to be evicted and they are going to remain on the street if no action is taken.” In addition, Aquino assured that “the governor has to put pressure on the legislature or she can take action on her own to ensure that people can stay in their homes.”
