Paderborn. The general meeting of the German Football League (DFL) in Frankfurt recently was not just about important personnel decisions and the farewell to the managing director Christian Seifert. In addition, it was decided, among other things, that the 36 first and second division clubs will in future also have to provide evidence of binding sustainability criteria in the licensing process. The 2022/23 season is still considered the pilot phase. From 2023/24, however, there will be conditions and sanctions if minimum criteria are not met. However, SC Paderborn will probably not be in danger of breaking these hurdles …
