“Why Russian Submarines Strike Fear in the West: Newsweek Report”

Moscow once again warns the entire West

The West fears the threat that could come from the Russian navy, as Russian submarines are capable of reaching critical targets in the US and Europe. This is reported by the American magazine Newsweek.

The political crisis is reaching a new level of confrontation – as tensions between countries rise. Russia is increasing the production of an underwater fleet capable of reaching its most important targets – both in the US and in Europe, writes Newsweek, quoted by foreign agencies.

The interviewed Western experts have no doubt that in the event of a world war, the Russian Federation will use its navy as an instrument of the main threat to the enemy. The Kremlin’s actions confirm this: not so long ago, President Vladimir Putin announced the country’s readiness to produce more nuclear submarines capable of guaranteeing the country’s security for decades to come.

Russia has been developing very important means of waging war on the seabed for at least ten years. Most of them are in the so-called GUGI, that is, in the Main Directorate of Deep Sea Research of Russia. A torpedo with a nuclear warhead? Or put listening devices or explosives on deep-sea cables at the bottom of the ocean,” the expert believes.

If such a cable were to be severed, Peterson believes, the West would suffer incredible financial losses, and communication between the States and Europe would be severely limited.
