The user experience of an Internet user in Russia it has little to do with what anyone in the rest of the world would have. During the last few weeks, the country governed by Putin has blocked access to widely used Western tools such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter as a protest against the policies promoted by these companies after the invasion of Ukraine. However, the plans of businessmen in the country to launch new platforms to replace them, to date, are not coming together.

Just hours after Roskomnadzor, the Russian federal telecommunications service, announced the blocking of Instagram in the country, entrepreneurs Alexander Zobov and Kirill Filimonov announced that they were working on a national alternative to the Meta-owned platform: Rossgram.
