Why Paris Saint-Germain Continues to Fall Short in Champions League – A Ranking of Their Most Embarrassing Strikes

Paris Saint-Germain is managed by Qatari sports investments have won the French Ligue 1 almost every year since 2011 and the Coupe de France about every other year. But no matter how much money Qatar invests in the Parisians, the Champions League remains out of reach. This is particularly difficult for the French capital as its great rival Olympique Marseille can continue to celebrate itself as the only Champions League winner in the country.

When they were not strong enough to defend, pragmatic coach Thomas Tuchel joined. And then, two years later, Paris brought in the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi, for good measure.

But even with one of the best trios of storms in history, the victory was not achieved.
