AC Milan have decided to suspend talks with Udinese about Lazar Samardzic for the time being as the situation remains at an impasse, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) claims that there have been no developments between the two clubs in recent days despite the fact that things have started well early in the negotiations.
Milan reached a basic agreement with the midfielder’s father-agent about the salary he would receive and commissions for his fans and family, then turned to Udinese to try to agree on the transfer fee and the package.
The problem is that Udinese want €20 million (€25 million with bonus) in cash and not considering selling the 22-year-old. Meanwhile, Milan hoped to close with a lower cash cost and possibly include at least one player in the deal, but we hit a wall.
In fact, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani were ready to send Yacine Adli or Tommaso Pobega to Udinese to try to find a swap deal but they did not get the result they wanted. We now have to wait and see if the talks will start towards the end of the month.
