Currently one of Hollywood’s most popular stars and winner of two “Oscar” nominations, the Australian actress auditioned for the second season of “American Horror Story” a few years before landing the lead role in Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

American Horror Story is an American television horror series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The series has been broadcast on FX since October 5, 2011. It has a total of 11 seasons and 123 episodes.

Each season has its own setting, most actors and story. For example, the first season is about a family that moves into a house haunted by its dead former inhabitants, and the fourth season is about one of the last freak shows in the United States. “American Horror Story” has been critically acclaimed and has won several awards. The series is also shown in Latvia.

Although Robbie once failed to land a role on “American Horror Story,” it turns out that her casting was one of the casting director’s favorite auditions of all time.

At the time, the Oscar-nominated actress, who started her career in 2008 in the series “Neighbors”, had starred in the US television series “Pan Am”. But otherwise she had only worked in Australia. And then in 2011, she auditioned for the American Horror Story: Asylum series.

Casting director Eric Dawson revealed that he was already struck by the actress’s talent, prompting him to think about how to tap into her potential: “Margo’s audition is probably one of my favorite castings of all time, and it was right before her career took off. She was and is such a star!”

Dawson continued, “Even though she didn’t get the part, I was stuck thinking, ‘What are we going to do with this actress? She’s a star! But she was immediately beyond our ability to hire her. But that’s really the fun part of casting, , to see people whose careers are just starting to grow.”

He didn’t specify which role Robbie was in the running for, but fans have speculated that it was either Sister Mary Eunice or Grace, whose roles eventually went to Lily Rabe and Lizzie Broscher, respectively.

Since then, Robbie has been nominated for two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes and five Bafta Awards.
