NEWS ANALYSIS: After Fox News settled with the company that makes machines and software to conduct elections, parts of the American left cheered. They accept that Fox will have to pay a record high compensation of NOK 8 billion.

But the laughter may be short-lived. In his defence, Fox has used a Supreme Court judgment from 1964. In recent years, parts of the right have announced that they want to change the understanding of the law underlying the judgment.
