“You play yourself in K3, but it’s an enlarged version of yourself. But still, at the beginning of a film period, you just get a role description. Then it says: ‘Klaasje is naive, funny and does crazy things.’ And that is of course something that played a part in my decision to stop. I just wanted to start my adult life, and not just be seen as that picture anymore. I just wanted to be able to really be myself.”

But Klaasje certainly does not regret her participation in ‘K3 seeks K3’ in 2015. “I could never have imagined in advance that I would stop after six years. “But I developed and changed. I felt that I was getting older, maybe older in my head than people saw me. I felt everything that I was ready for the next step. And that now feels like the right choice.”
