Anyone could lose their head.
Lyudmila Porgina became the only wife of the famous actor Nikolai Karachentsov. She aroused conflicting feelings among the public because of her alleged mania for scandals and the desire to make a real show out of her husband’s illness. But how was Porgina able to win the heart of the eminent actor?
From childhood, the future wife of Karachentsov dreamed of playing in theater and cinema. Lyudmila Andreevna entered the Moscow Art Theater School, and pretty quickly she managed to get her debut role in the film. Porgina starred in the film “Much Ado About Nothing”, and then other works followed. In the early 70s, with the participation of the actress, Mark Zakharov’s teleplay “A Feast During the Plague” was released, where Karachentsov also played. Porgina also played the role of a girl at the celebration. The artist appeared before the audience in all its glory: luxurious black hair, bottomless eyes, deep gaze, aristocratic appearance. It is not surprising that Nikolai Petrovich lost his head from such a lovely young lady.
A year later, their wedding took place, initiated by Porgina. After marriage, her career faded into the background, because the actress devoted all her time to her husband and son. The couple lived together until the death of Karachentsov in 2018.
