Each October 2 is celebrated on Notary Day in Argentina. This ephemerisremembers the First International Congress of Latin Notaries, which took place on October 2, 1948. There the idea of forming a union of notaries with common principles in Spanish-speaking countries was raised.

What is the International Union of Notaries?
The International Union of Latin Notaries is a non-governmental organization (NGO), formed by professional associations of notaries from 71 countries on five continents, whose notarial systems are of the Latin type, founded on Roman-Germanic law.
What does a notary do?
