Zapping But! Football Club FC Nantes: the most expensive transfers
In Ligue 1, this start of the summer Mercato is clearly at two speeds. There are clubs determined to move forward quickly because they are supported by new shareholders (like SCO Angers or OL)… And others who are waiting for the market to settle in the runoff of transfers and on sales to hope make a few hits. FC Nantes, which has been extremely inactive since the opening of the market and missed Youssouf M’Changama (AJ Auxerre) is in this second category.
The FCN awaits sales … and bargains
Among the Canaries, there are the players that agent Mogi Bayat (the club’s unofficial gray eminence) proposes to bring back and those that Antoine Kombouaré would like to recover. The points of convergence are very limited, which explains why little is currently leaking from La Jonelière regarding the targeted profiles.
It must be said that Nantes is first waiting to sell Ludovic Blas or Moses Simon for a sum approaching 20 M€ each before investing to accelerate. Of course, the holes in the racket are numerous. With the departure of Wylan Cyprien, at least one central midfielder is missing. Quentin Merlin still does not have a lining on the left and in front, it is the big construction site with the end of loan of Osman Bukari and Willem Geubbels combined with the free departures of Jean-Kévin Augustin, Kalifa Coulibaly and – more annoying – of Randal Kolo Muani.
Coco centre-forward to start the preparation?
Finding an effective centre-forward is the rarest and most expensive commodity on the market. On the side of FC Nantes, we are ready to wait a bit to jump on good deals. This is particularly the case for the Hwang and Mara files depending on whether or not the Girondins de Bordeaux fall in National 1. While waiting for the files to settle, it is likely that we will see a start of preparation on July 29 without n°9 of profession and with the only Marcus Coco to troubleshoot in the register. A little worrying insofar as the season of the Canaries starts on July 30 against PSG in Tel Aviv (Trophée des Champions) but not dramatic either since Ludovic Blas and Moses Simon are still there as a defense blaster…
Why Nantes does not move to the Mercato
If FC Nantes has many needs on the Mercato, the Canaries have placed themselves in a waiting position on the files. Antoine Kombouaré is in no hurry but wants to make the right choices. Deciphering a frozen situation.
