The authorities relate to Alvarez with criminal groups in Mexico such as Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the Sinaloa Cartel; However, the famous man denied the accusations against him even when he agreed to meet Raúl Flores Hernández, one of the most important drug traffickers in the country.

According to his statement, the relationship he had with the drug trafficker was limited to contract deals in a Guadalajara bar called ‘La Camelia’.
