Why is Ferran Torres’ Barcelona jersey without the club logo?

The mystery behind Ferran Torres and the Barcelona shirt not featuring the club logo has now been revealed.

Fans were confused on Friday (18/2) yesterday when Torres played with a jersey that did not have the Barcelona club logo and also Nike as a sponsor on his chest during the duel against Napoli in the Europa League.

The missing detail became clear after the Spanish forward equalized from the penalty spot in the last 32 of the tournament which took place at Camp Nou and ended in a 1-1 draw.

The more confusing, because Torres actually played the first half of the match wearing a completely normal jersey.

Fans have also wondered about the reason behind the strangeness in Torres’ costume, but so far there has been no satisfactory explanation.

According to the Spanish website, ASthe Barcelona jersey that Torres was wearing at that time was the result of a manufacturing defect, not some kind of protest against the club or its sponsoring manufacturers.

The error went unnoticed by Barcelona staff and the player himself, who replaced his jersey with a damaged one at half-time.

Torres equalized with a penalty just after the hour mark, after Piotr Zielinski had put Napoli ahead in the first half.

However, the former Manchester City man missed several chances to put Barcelona ahead and had to settle for a draw ahead of traveling to Naples for the second leg on February 24.
