Dicky emphasized that this condition cannot be underestimated and very serious.
That is why, he said, since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, the World Health Organization (WHO) is trying to find out the origin of the corona virus which became this pandemic.
“In October 2019 I was invited by the Chinese government to talk about preventing a pandemic. At that time, I explained about the potential for a pandemic coronavirus (corona virus), “said Dicky.
Dicky further explained that a number of scientific literature had recorded the potential for this pandemic.
A month later, the corona virus pandemic emerged, with the same strain of virus, but only what is now known as SARS-CoV-2, the cause of the Covid-19 disease pandemic.

“The literature has reminded me. As I remind you at this time, there will be another pandemic that is much more intense than Covid-19. Maybe it will not take too long, because now we have entered the era of a pandemic,” said Dicky.
With the possibility of this potential, said Dicky, this means we have to be prepared.
Dicky concluded that it is not easy and very complex to control a pandemic.
“Therefore, preventing a pandemic is much better. While waiting for the vaccination program to run, we must continue to make efforts to control the pandemic,” said Dicky.

Pandemic control can be done, among others, by continuing to implement it health protocol 3M namely wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance, and the application of 3T which includes testing, tracing and treatment.

“For example, in 2018, Ebola failed to be controlled with a vaccination program because the country and its population were neglectful. So, no country will be free from the Covid-19 pandemic, until all countries have completely controlled the pandemic,” explained Dicky.
