Why iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus Cannot Use the Newly Released iOS 17 Operating System – Apple Announcement

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple announced that the newly released iOS 17 operating system cannot be used on several old iPhone series such as the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

GSM Arena reported on Tuesday (6/6) local time, users who want to use iOS 17 must at least have an iPhone XS and the second and third generations of iPhone SE. The newer iPhone series complies with the specifications provided by Appla for iOS 17.

Meanwhile, iPad products that are compatible with iOS 17 include iPad Pro, iPad AIR, iPad starting from the sixth generation, and iPad mini starting from the fifth generation.

On Monday (5/6) Apple released the latest operating system iOS 17.

iOS 17 has a variety of new features, including Live Voicemail which can display message transcripts from missed calls, NameDrop which can share contacts by bringing two iPhones closer together, the Journal application to record important moments, and the stand by screen feature.

Meanwhile, iOS 16, released in September, is the majority operating system on the iPhone because it is used on 81 percent of these devices globally.
