So this would be an example of why I wouldn’t get an AMD processor.
I mostly work with Windows LTSC, so it also misses these kind of updates.
I also think this should be done through a driver, or going back to older buildings, or just improving your architecture. (I’m looking at you, AMD).
Before that, the trend was to get as much control as possible with hardware (see speedstep vs speedshift in terms of latency, or hardware GPU timing).
Now you can see that with all that turbo all basic nonsense, P vs E cores, CCX apart from AMD, software compensation is needed again.
I prefer a system that is as independent as possible, and as little dependent on the OS.
Anyway, it’s not very difficult to push apps or games to specific cores or CCX/automate each app, which can also compensate for most of those registry bits.
