This is what is stated by Brigitte Milpied, dermatologist at Bordeaux : “The alcohol or the ethanol itself is not photosensitizing. There is therefore no direct risk of burns from exposure to the sun. But it must not be forgotten that thealcohol is an irritant and drying that can dehydrate the skin. And the UV rays of the sun are themselves quite aggressive, the skin must deal with two assaults at the same time”.
In order to prevent irritation, so it is better to practice a typical washing with water and soap that it does not present any risk for your epidermis.
