Biographers of the British royal family doubt that Prince Harry will come to Britain in 2022, and cited two reasons why this is unlikely to happen, writes the Daily Mail.
Journalist Tom Bower, who wrote a biography of Prince Charles and is currently working on a biography of Megan Markle, said Harry was ashamed to meet with relatives because of a revealing book he would publish in the fall. According to him, Harry already knows what he is going to write and he just can’t go back to the royal family and pretend that nothing happened.
Brian Howie, Princess Anne’s official biographer, does not rule out Harry coming to the anniversary of Prince Philip’s death in April. But this will be his last visit, after which he will not return to the UK until the end of the year. Howie gave another reason for this decision. According to him, this is due to the reluctance of the prince to divert attention from the queen, who is celebrating the 70th anniversary of his reign.
“I very much doubt that he will come again in the year of the Queen’s platinum jubilee – and that is good for him. Because if he comes, he will divert a lot of attention from the queen, and no one in the royal family wants to divert attention from Her Majesty in such a year. And if Megan comes, you can imagine what crowds will gather. “Both are still loved in the UK, especially by young people,” said Howie.
