The deputy head of the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School, Colonel Rustam Saifulin, explained why the German Leopard tanks became an easy target.
Armored vehicles are used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), but are easily destroyed by Russian mines.
“We saw footage of Leopards and infantry fighting vehicles being blown up by our anti-tank mines,” he was quoted as saying by Western media.
As the officer points out, it was previously stated that these tanks are such “wonderful” fighting machines that they are capable of “crushing” Russian troops.
“We see the Leopard tank burning beautifully and spreading beautifully in all directions,” he continued.
The military also said that sappers from the Russian Armed Forces have “enough” mines. They are “enough for every Leopard, for every Bradley,” Saifulin noted.
