— In 2010, I had three offers: from Dynamo Kyiv, Napoli and a German club. In economic terms, the option with Dynamo was the best, even compared to Napoli. And at the same time, I still didn’t know at all where Naples was, I had never heard of it.
I remember a representative of Napoli told me about their city, about the beach. I wasn’t impressed by all this then; I had a beach in Brazil too. Then the Italians began to persuade me to come to Naples, promising that I would really like it there, they said that the city was simply incredible. But I refused, saying that I had already made my choice in favor of Dynamo. Including for the reason that, financially, Napoli’s offer was noticeably worse. That’s how I didn’t move to Napoli, but Cavani ended up there instead of me…
Over time, I visited Naples with my wife and fell in love with this city. I regret that I abandoned it then. He told her then: “You won’t believe it, but I once refused to go to this city. And now I want to live here,” Andre was quoted as saying by NapoliNetwork.
