Kochi: The High Court has once again criticized the lack of potholes on the roads. The criticism of the High Court comes after a passenger died after falling into a pothole on the Aluva-Perumbavoor road. Judge Devan Ramachandran said the incident is worrying. The court criticized the public works department after asking how many people died on the streets in two months.
The court asked why the engineers from the Department of Public Works. The court also asked the engineer in charge of maintenance of the Aluva-Perumbavoor road where the motorcyclist died to appear in person. The question of whether it is not possible to cover the grave was also raised while the court was examining the case.
The court also said it was painful for travelers to die from falling into potholes. When the lawyer argued that the cause of Perumbavoor Kunji Muhammed’s biker death was not the pit but the low blood sugar level, the court asked that the deceased be not insulted.
