According to the Cu Chi District Economic Department, the reason why Cu Chi has not had any craft villages recognized as craft villages or traditional craft villages is because the district’s craft villages have not met the criteria in Decree 52/2018 of the Government. Government.

Typically, in Tan Thong Hoi bamboo blind craft village, there are currently 3 households acting as focal points for collecting and distributing raw materials for other households to process (thread bamboo). Currently, Cu Chi district has Phu Hoa Dong rice paper craft village, which is oriented to be recognized as a rural profession, a traditional rural profession. This is also a craft village that Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has included in the category of craft villages, traditional craft villages to preserve and develop in the period 2022-2025.
