Hello, I’m 12 years old and I play in my club’s U13B team. We play in the second highest league in our year group and almost always win the championship but are not allowed to advance (but I’ve only been playing in the team since the summer)
But my problem is that we have too many players (26). 16 are allowed in the squad for the weekend, no more are allowed. 10 are not included and I am usually one of them. I have played 10 out of 20 possible games so far, so half (we still play a few friendlies, which is why there are so many in total). I have only played in the league a few times so far.
I really enjoy being in a team and the coaches try to use everyone more or less equally.
By the way, I’m a striker and have already scored 6 goals this season.
I don’t know if I should change in the winter. I could go back to my old team, which already has very few players, and get match practice there. I could even play with the players who are a year older. However, my old club is much smaller and they don’t have such good/new equipment, and the training is different there. The club plays in the U13 and U14, a league higher than us, but they are so mediocre there. We won a friendly against their U13 team 11:1. (They aren’t allowed to get promoted, they’re actually too good for our league).
If I didn’t move, maybe 3/4 of the players would move up to the A team, and then we would be fewer. (The ones from the A team will then most likely go to another club in the top league). As I said, I really like it at the club, apart from the appearances.
