The “SI Vaccin Covid” data processing file for people vaccinated, which will be put in place from January 4, should allow the government to better organize the vaccination campaign. But it arouses the mistrust of some Internet users. Facebook page shared an e-mail sent by Health Insurance to doctors, stressing in his comment: “Social security announces that it will pay a ‘premium’ of 5.40 euros per injection.”
In the letter, it is written in particular: “A remuneration for the seizure in ‘Vaccin Covid’ is set up with a flat rate paid a posteriori for each seizure made. This remuneration will be made once a month around the 15th of the month for seizures relating to the previous month. ” All the prices are specified below, with this famous “package of 5.40 euros for each injection entered in the ‘Covid Vaccine’ teleservice”.
“It is legitimate to value this additional work”
Contacted by 20 Minutes, the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) confirmed that this email had indeed been sent to doctors, to inform them of the terms of remuneration. The same information is also publicly accessible on the Ameli Health Insurance website.

This remuneration of 5.40 euros for any entry in the “Covid vaccine” file is justified according to Philippe Vermesch, president of the Union of liberal doctors (SML), that 20 Minutes questioned. He underlines a denser process for the vaccine against the Covid-19 than against the flu for example, with in particular a pre-vaccination consultation, a half-hour monitoring after the vaccine and the entry of information in “Covid vaccine” . This last step “takes time, with an average of five additional minutes per patient,” he explains.
Indeed, as detailed in the decree of December 25, the doctor is responsible for entering information on the patient (surname, first names, sex, date of birth, place of birth) and information relating to vaccination (dates of injections, “information allowing the identification of the vaccine injected”, “details on the administration of the vaccine”, “identification of the vaccination site (s)” …).
The CNAM makes the same observation: “It is legitimate to promote this additional work in the service of good monitoring of an unprecedented vaccination campaign.”
Note that this package does not impact patients, since the consultation and injection costs are 100% covered by Health Insurance.
