According to Budi, typical pain is also due to an increase in nerve fibers that are not wrapped in the uterine wall so they are sensitive to stimuli.
Studies on endometriosis in various countries show that people with endometriosis tend to be forced to leave or not attend school or work due to severe pain complaints.
For married women, endometriosis can even disrupt family harmony. One of them is because the pain appears during intercourse.
Not only that, when defecating (BAB) and urinating (BAK), especially during menstruation, pain can also occur.
On the other hand, endometriosis is also one of the most common causes of fertility problems in couples who have not had children, or about 40 percent.
Data shows that 83 percent of women with endometriosis complain of one or more of these symptoms. While as many as 29 percent of women without endometriosis who complain of these symptoms.
“Normal menstrual pain is only 1-2 days and does not interfere with activity. Meanwhile, in those with endometriosis, the pain can be before, during and after menstruation, interfering with activities due to excruciating pain. This pain is often accompanied by other pains such as during sexual intercourse, defecation , urinate,” said Budi.
According to him, recording the menstrual cycle and complaints is important. In addition to also recognizing the signs of endometriosis early on so that it can be treated immediately. (Among)
