Why do many buy this pasta in which there is a terrible poison?

The right information in the food sector must not be neglected, especially for those products that everyone uses. In addition to being a right, safeguarding one’s health is also a duty. We must not give up and think that all in all it is good all the same, or that the price is attractive. It will no longer be attractive when these products have their harmful effect. For this reason ProiezionidiBorsa wonders why many buy this pasta in which there is a terrible poison.

Reports from the press

Recently there have been reports of the presence of glyphosate in some pasta of major Italian brands. It is not the first time and we have already reported it in a previous article. There are some grains that come from abroad that are contaminated with this terrible pesticide.

It is best not to let your guard down too much because this and other substances accumulate in the body and cause terrible diseases. Processed sugars, hydrogenated fats, pesticides and alcoholic derivations for refining are almost always on our table, hidden under the guise of palatable delicacies.

In Canada, the climate is very cold, not really suitable for wheat. Low ears are used because they are more resistant. They are sprayed with pesticides before harvesting, to eliminate tall weeds that have grown with wheat, pesticides that have been banned in Italy since 1971. Thanks to glyphosate, Canadian wheat sprinkled with snow manages to reach maturity. Then, packaged and put on the ships, it arrives in Italy, the first importer. This is then mixed with Italian wheat, to make pasta. Last year, 1.1 million tons of Canadian wheat and 1.4 million from other foreign sources were imported.

The situation and the brands

A very recent investigation by Il Salvagente showed how there are some famous brands in which the presence of glyphosate was detected, examining spaghetti. In the previous investigation two years ago, there were only two brands whose paste contained glyphosate. Today the investigation found that in 7 brands there is the presence of this potentially carcinogenic herbicide, even if only in trace amounts.

The brands in question are: Divella, Esselunga, Eurospin, Garofalo, Lidl, Rummo, Agnesi. In Agnesi there is the presence of totally Italian glyphosate in wheat.

Reflections on health

Glyphosate produces damage to the liver. On the endocrine system and in a recent Finnish research it also emerges that it attacks the gut microbiota, destroying over half of the good bacteria in the gut.

To safeguard health, it is better to turn to brands that produce spaghetti without glyphosate and notoriously of organic origin.
