Death and the true birth has been determined by Allah SWT so that it cannot be changed. Even so, the death of someone who is good and pious at a young age often raises questions.
Why do good people die so quickly?
Related to the incident, Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) explained it in the YouTube channel TAMAN SURGA.NET. UAS explanatory video entitled Why Do Good People Die Faster?
“Why did they go first? Because Allah loves him the sooner he goes. As for those who live longer, it means that the longer their life, the more benefits they will spread,” said UAS.
For people who live long enough to live long in the world there are several possibilities. For example, many people are touched when he speaks. That is, the person’s talk provides many benefits to other communities.
UAS explained, the world is actually a testing ground for the servants of Allah SWT. The duration of the test in the world that is created in the short and long life is in fact set by Allah SWT in Lauhul Mahfudz. The fact is, not all good people are short -lived.
“There are good people who live long, for example Mbah Moen or Dr Mahathir Muhammad. Mahathir is 96 years old and still in good health. Mbah Moen died at the age of 90,” said UAS, citing a hadith related to the person who is considered the best of the Prophet SAW.
Al-Rahman ibn Abi al byh their curvature rjla said, or O Messenger of Allah said, de tal Umrah public good vhsn mlh said, fay evil people said, de tal Umrah midday mlh Dari
Meaning: Abdurrahman ibn Abu Bakrah, from his father said a man said, “O Rasûlullâh, who is the best man?” He replied, “A man of long life and good deeds.” He asked again, “Then who is the worst person?” He replied, “People who are long -lived and bad in their deeds.” (HR Ahmad).
UAS also explains the essence of death and life in the Quran. One of them is described in the letter of Jonah verse 49
قل لآمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِى ضَرًّ وَلَا نَفْعًا َّلَّا مَا شَعَلَ َُّلِّهأُ
Arab latin: Qul lā amliku linafsī ḍarraw wa lā naf’an illā mā syā`allāh, likulli ummatin ajal, iżā jā`a ajaluhum fa lā yasta`khirụna sā’ataw wa lā yastaqdimụn
Meaning: Say, “I have no power to harm nor (also) benefit to myself, except what Allah wills”. Every ummah has a death. When their death came, they could not postpone it for a moment, nor did they advance (it).
With this explanation, UAS hopes that no one else thinks that good people die quickly. Moreover, delaying repentance or carrying out good deeds in order to be given a long life.
“All of that has been determined. That is what must be believed and become aqidah. Don’t think wrongly, read, listen, act, until you end up in the wrong place in the afterlife,” said UAS.
A Muslim should always carry out the commands of Allah SWT and stay away from his prohibitions. This action must be performed at all times regardless of death and the length of life on earth.
