Jakarta –
defender Liverpool Virgil van Dijk presents a moment that invites questions against Inter Milan. Did he hug wrong after Mo Salah score?
Liverpool came home from Inter headquarters with a 2-0 win in the first leg of the Champions League last 16. Roberto Firmino opened the scoring, before finally Salah added to the advantage.
The result no doubt made the Reds now have the upper hand in undergoing the second leg of the party against La Beneamata. Apart from winning 2-0 on aggregate, Liverpool will host the second leg at Anfield.
In the victory at the San Siro / Giuseppe Meazza itself, there was an interesting scene after Salah scored a goal. Van Dijk actually hugged the Inter Milan players instead of hugging his team-mates – as is usually the case.
This inevitably sparked questions, which were then voiced by netizens on social media. Some suspected that the hug was Van Dijk’s spontaneous reaction, even though it turned out to be the wrong hug.

There are also those who think that it is just Virgil van Dijk’s way of entertaining Inter Milan players. Coincidentally, what he was holding was Denzel Dumfries, his team mate in the Dutch national team.
What do you think about it, did Van Dijk wrongly hug in celebrating Salah’s goal, or did he intend to hug Dumfries to provide entertainment?
