Targeted by controversy for some time, three titles from a posthumous album by Michael Jackson have been removed from streaming platforms.
Even deceased, Michael Jackson is still talked about… This Wednesday, July 6, three songs present in the compilation Michaelreleased a year and a half after the death of the King Of Pop, saw themselves suddenly disappear from platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music et YouTube Music. It is “Breaking News“, “Monster” et “Keep Your Head Up“. The cause ? A big controversy that has dragged on for several years already. Indeed, some members of the Jackson family but also many fans support the theory that it’s not MJ’s voice on these titles, but indeed that of Jason Malachi, another American artist with a very similar voice. What Sony Music, manager of the late artist’s catalog, is trying to deny.
