GENERAL Hospital’s most mysterious and hated character, Janelle “Nelle” Benson, left the show last year.
Nelle’s debut took place in 2016 and it was revealed that she was Carly Corinthos’ secret half-sister.
Why did Nelle leave the general hospital?
According to celebrity, actress Chloé Lanier, who plays Nelle in General hospital, has decided not to renew her contract in order to seize new opportunities.
In addition to her role at General Hospital, Lanier appeared in several films, including Binding Paper, North Blvd, Pie and Quail Lake.
In 2017, she was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Nelle.
Lanier finished filming for the General Hospital in June 2020 and his character was killed off the show in August of the same year.
Since Nelle’s beginnings, she had caused nothing but drama and chaos for the Corinthos family.
Who is Nelle from the general hospital?
Lanier’s character was introduced as a schoolteacher whose kidney was sold on the black market in order to save the life of her niece, Josslyn.

However, it was revealed that Nelle was the daughter of Frank Benson and Carly’s adopted half-sister.
Throughout her run on the show, Nelle has a relationship with Carly’s son, Michael, and she ends up pregnant with Michael’s baby.
During her baby shower, Nelle fell down a staircase at the Quartermaine mansion after arguing with Carly, Sand blames her for the fall.
She was eventually sent to jail for her twisted plans on the Corinthos family.
Nelle is ultimately killed in the series after a confrontation with Clary in the woods.
During the confrontation, Nelle falls off a cliff, Clary is still trying to save her but it was too late.
