The world’s third-richest person, Jeff Bezos, bought a single share two weeks ago, having sold nearly $30 billion worth of shares since 2002.
The stock sales have funded a variety of projects, from the rocket company Blue Origin to personal pleasures such as his new $500 million superyacht.
The Amazon founder still owns 10 percent of Amazon, which accounts for the lion’s share of his estimated fortune of $148 billion, or NOK 1,590 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Bezos’ share purchase has made him $10 richer, since Amazon shares rose 8 percent on the stock exchange to $124 per share after the purchase.
According to Bloomberg, analysts do not know how to interpret the purchase, while social media speculates that the purchase should be a gift or that he pressed the buy button by accident.
Amazon declined to comment on the matter to Bloomberg.
