Bezos’ share purchase has made him $10 richer, since Amazon shares rose 8 percent on the stock exchange to $124 per share after the purchase.

According to Bloomberg, analysts do not know how to interpret the purchase, while social media speculates that the purchase should be a gift or that he pressed the buy button by accident.

Amazon declined to comment on the matter to Bloomberg.
