On Monday (16/9/2024), Israel carried out its first attack on an uninhabited area near Byblos, north of Beirut. More than 1,300 attacks have been launched by Israel. They said the target of the attack was Hezbollah, a Lebanese political party and Iranian-backed paramilitary group.

Israel also claims that they attacked Hezbollah so that it could bring back the citizens who fled to the north (the border with Lebanon).

1983-1985

2006

Israeli ground troops moved into southern Lebanon due to the death of their soldiers. Airstrikes were launched by Israel and Hezbollah during the five-week war. In the end, Israel could not achieve its goals, but as a result of the war 1,200 people in Lebanon were killed.

2023

When Israel launched a brutal attack on Palestine on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah launched an attack on Lebanon’s southern border with Israel. Hezbollah’s goal is to support Palestine and prevent Israel from attacking Gaza.

September 2024

On September 16-17, there was an attack in Lebanon that killed dozens of people and injured thousands. Hezbollah declared that Israel was responsible for the attack.

A week later, Israel attacked Hezbollah because they wanted to return its citizens in the northern region (the border with Lebanon). Israeli air attacks are increasing and hitting southern Lebanon and the Bekaa valley.

On Friday, September 27, an Israeli air strike left Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah dead. In addition, the head of Hezbollah’s right front, Ali Karki and other Hezbollah leaders, were also killed in a mass airstrike in Dahieh, a southern suburb of Beirut.

Israel even targeted places on the southern outskirts of Beirut and reached the predominantly Christian Keserwan area. Hezbollah responded with a flurry of rockets fired at Israel.
