It was about half past seven in the morning and it was still dusk. The policeman, a 60-year-old resident of Zevenaar, drove his service vehicle on the wrong side of the road. The cyclists, two teenagers on their way to school, met the officer. They were both injured in the collision. The policeman was also injured.
