“Why Croatia is becoming too expensive for Czech tourists?”

Croatia has apparently decided to take full advantage of the favorable situation, where more and more tourists are now flocking to it every year. It is far from just the Czechs, but the country has also become popular with Germans and other nations from Western Europe. They then logically raise the relatively modest standards here. It took a while for the Croats to get used to it, but now they can walk in it and the prices are literally burning to the maximum.

A real bat

“We were there last year. We went to Croatia for about ten years, but then it started getting really expensive. Last year, we paid more than 200,000 crowns for a holiday for the four of us. This year I tried to watch it and it was even more. I really can’t give it anymore” says Mr. Karel, who had to pat himself on the back a lot last year.

He admits that he has never dealt with money too much and that he liked Croatia, but what is too much is too much. “I won’t let myself be ripped off like this. We paid 120,000 for a cabin in the camp for two weeks. That’s almost ten thousand a night, but not much service,Karel calculates the costs. “We also went to a restaurant every evening, I think that’s part of a vacation. But for one person, food there today costs from five hundred to one thousand, so you will pay five thousand for the evening’s spending.“

Look elsewhere

So we had to look elsewhere, which brought interesting results. Karel states that he practically did not find a more expensive vacation than what it would be in Croatia, where it has logically become even more expensive since last year. In the end, he chose a five-star hotel in Turkey with all inclusive. It is said to cost a third of what he would have spent in Croatia.

In addition, the popular tourist destination introduced the euro as a currency this year, while this brought further price increases, which even the locals complained about at the beginning of the year. According to some calculations, tourist services have become more expensive on average by 15% compared to last year. It is therefore necessary to say that Croatia ceases to be accessible to the Czechs. Sure, you can always choose worse and worse services, but few people want that on vacation, especially when you get much more for your money elsewhere.
