Bogotá has a network of public and private points enabled so that citizens who want to donate blood come closer to carry out this purpose safely. Each person’s donation benefits up to three patients who require blood transfusion due to accidents, illness or complications during the birth process.
In this way, People who voluntarily want to donate blood can approach any of the 18 fixed points or 30 mobiles that are located daily in the different locations of Bogotá. The process does not last more than 30 minutes, it is safe, since all the biosafety protocols that the COVID-19 pandemic still requires are complied with and health specialists are in charge of guiding the process.
